V Scholar Cancer Research Grant

If interested in being nominated, send a 1 page abstract and NIH biosketch to Sarah Laye by 4/15/22.

1. Attached are the V Scholar Cancer Research Program RFA and nomination form.
2. Read the RFA carefully as it includes specific eligibility requirements and due dates for this award. 
3. Each invited institution may submit a maximum of two nominees to apply for this call if at least one of the two nominees identifies as someone from an underrepresented in science minority ethnic group (details outlined in RFA).
4. The nomination form must include the signature of the Cancer Center Director (or similar high ranking research official) who is responsible for the nomination and certifies that the candidate meets all eligibility requirements.
5. New this year: Submit the required Letter of Recommendation from the nominating director with the Nomination form. Without this Letter, your nominee is ineligible to apply. The RFA contains information regarding elements required in the letter.
6. Return your completed nomination form with the Letter of Recommendation to nominations@v.org.
7. Once we receive your completed nomination form with your Letter of Recommendation, we will issue an invitation to your applicant to submit their application via our online system.  Please share the RFA with your nominee.

   0. Nomination and Letter of Recommendation Due Date: by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on April 28, 2022 submitted to nominations@v.org.
   1. Application Due Date: by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on May 16, 2022 via our online system.
