Brief Description

Eligibility:

  • Fellows, Research Scientists, Instructors and Professors with MD or DO and/or PhD degrees may apply.
  • Principal investigators do not need to be U.S. citizens.
  • Lead research institutions do not need to be located in the U.S.

Rally funds pediatric cancer research in the following areas:

  • Innovative approaches to research which could lead to advanced studies or clinical trials.
  • Studies that are likely to lead to a clinical trial.
  • Personalized, alternative, or integrative research proposals.
  • Under-studied cancer types.
  • Quality of life, survivorship and palliative care studies.
  • Data utilization through data standardization, collection, storage, analysis and sharing.

The following will not be reviewed:

  • Grants that have no direct relevance to pediatric cancer nor fall within the scope. of the Collaborative Grant Application Guidelines.
  • Proposals for funding of infrastructure programs or management of clinical trials.
  • Incomplete applications and/or applications received after the deadline.

Award Categories:

  • Fellowship Grants – Grants are for one or two years of support. At the end of the award you may apply for additional funding the next grant cycle. Each funded grant will be awarded up to $50,000 per year.
  • Young Investigator and Independent Investigator Grants – Grants are for one or two years of support. At the end of the award you may apply for additional funding the next grant cycle. Each funded grant will be awarded up to $50,000 per year.
  • Consortium Grants (three or more institutions collaborating on a grant-supported research project): Grants are for one or two years of support. At the end of the award you may apply for additional funding the next grant cycle. Each funded grant will be awarded up to $100,000 per year.
  • Outside the Box Grants – Grants are for one year of support. At the end of the award you may apply for additional funding the next grant cycle. Each funded grant will be awarded up to $50,000.

Please note that not all grants are awarded in full. Award amounts are determined by a competitive peer-review process and scores received.
