Brief Description

Honoring the legacy of the late Paul A. Marks, MD – a distinguished scientist and leader who served as President of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for nearly two decades – the Paul Marks Prize for Cancer Research recognizes early and mid-career investigators who have made significant contributions to increasing the understanding of cancer or improving treatment of the disease through basic or clinical research.

The Paul Marks Prize is awarded every other year to up to three investigators. The first recipients were named in 2001. The winners will present their work at a scientific symposium at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and share a cash award of $150,000.
