New research center on symptom science

Event Description

We are seeking to build an innovative theory of medical symptoms beyond their biological causes to also use principles from psychology, sociology, anthropology, linguistics, sensation, perception, neuroscience, and other fields to better predict, prevent, and treat symptoms to allow people to live the lives they want to live. All are welcome, including students, staff, faculty, scientists, clinicians, patients, etc

The goals of our first meeting are to (1) meet who is interested in these topics

(2) start brainstorming topics and learning together.

The goals of our first year are to (1) write a collaborative theoretical manuscript,

(2) brainstorm data-based papers we can write together,

(3) consider new studies we can run,

(4) consider grants we can apply for.
