Brief Description

UMCP / UMB Coronavirus Medical Device Challenge Program UM Ventures are seeking applications from tenured/tenure-track faculty at University of Maryland, College Park or the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Joint proposals between the two institutions are highly encouraged. Details are in the attacheddocument.

The proposed research should contribute to commercialization of evidence-based medical devices related to the COVID-19 pandemic across a wide range of outcomes, including but not limited to testing, personal protection, treatment and prevention. UM Ventures will award up to $50,000 per project. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis through May 2020 (or until funds are exhausted). Funding decisions will be made bi-weekly.
